SHARON M.
PIERCE, 65, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Monday, October 10, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Sharon was born January 22, 1940 at Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Roger & Margaret (Brinkman) Squier. She was a graduate of Mason City High School. Sharon married David Pierce on June 21, 1959 at Mason City, and they were later divorced. She was employed for 19 years at Bishop's Buffet in Waterloo, Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, David (Kim) Pierce of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Roger Pierce of Waterloo; one daughter, Sandy Pierce-Edeker of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher and Elizabeth Pierce, and Ryan and Heather Edeker; her parents, Roger and Margaret Squier of Mason City; a brother, Jerry Squier of Arizona; two sisters, Lorene (Lowell) Johnson of Rock Falls, Iowa and Pat (Dale) Straw of Waterloo; paternal step-grandmother, Opal Squier of Minnesota; and her special friend, Jim Halgerson.
Sharon was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Kevin Pierce.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hudson, Iowa, with burial at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Sandy Pierce-Edeker or David Pierce.
