Sharon Sue Kreb, 86, of Cedar Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Deery Suites.  She was born in Cedar Falls on July 16, 1937, daughter of Franklin and Janice (Laube) Burns.  Sharon graduated from Cedar Falls High School with the Class of 1955 then attended the University of Northern Iowa.  On February 28, 1960, she was married to Harold Kreb in the First United Methodist Church of Cedar Falls. Sharon was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Burns and Janice (Elmer) Cawelti. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold; sons: Keith (Tracy) of Lake Forest, Illinois, Kevin (Denise) of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Karl (Alejandra) of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; 8 grandchildren: Rachel, Christian, Jennifer, Courtney, Kody, Connor, Kaitlyn and Kara Kreb; and her sister, Barbara (Glenn) Tobiason of Center Junction, Iowa.

Sharon's Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Windhaven Assisted Living Facility with private family burial at Fairview Cemetery both of Cedar Falls.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Western Home Communities' Fresh Wind Ministries or their Employee Appreciation Fund c/o Jorgensen Plaza, 5307 Caraway Lane, Cedar Falls, Iowa  50613.

Sharon was involved in and a past president of the Cedar Falls Women's Club.  She enjoyed watching sports on TV with Harold and was a passionate fan of the ISU Cyclones and the Chicago Cubs.  She and Harold had a March Madness pool among their family and, Sharon, was often the winner.  The couple spent many winters in Fort Myers, Florida and spring and fall in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.  Sharon enjoyed board games and playing cards and was an avid reader who particularly enjoyed Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings.
