Sally A Tewalt

Sally Ann Tewalt, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at t he Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born February 11, 1927 in Jewell, IA, the daughter of U. G. and Minnie Mary (Condict) Pedersen. Sally married Kenneth Tewalt October 5, 1946 at Schaller, IA. She worked for AEA Area 7, testing hearing for the children in the Waterloo School system for nineteen years, retiring in 1989.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Tewalt, of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Susan (Paul) Conaway of Denver, CO, Marcella T. (James) Clark of Golden, CO, and Catherine D. (Ken) St. Cyr, of Blue Bell, PA.; one son, James T (Karen) Tewalt, of Franklin, NC; one grandson, Chad (Tamara) Mienders, of San Jose, CA, and two great grandchildren, Brianna and Madeline.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marie Pedersen and Virginia Russell.

Services Will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Western Home Communities.
