Ryan M Ott

Ryan M. Ott, 32, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at his home in Cedar Falls.  He was born January 17, 1979 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Brian A. and Valerie (Hickok) Ott.  Ryan was a 1997 graduate of Waterloo East High School and also graduated from Hamilton Business College.  He was employed for eight years at John Deere & Company in Waterloo.  Ryan really loved spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed playing racquetball, golf and watching NASCAR.  Ryan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Brian and Valerie Ott, of Cedar Falls; his brother, Derek (Jessie Gress) Ott, and his sister, Taylor Ott, both of Cedar Falls; his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Hickok, of Evansdale; his paternal grandfather, Dale Ott, of Waterloo; his girlfriend, Heather Stout, of Dunkerton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dale Hickok, and his paternal grandmother, Inez Ott.

Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Prairie Lakes Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery,  both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 5—7:00 pm Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church.   Memorials may be directed to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank or the American Heart Association.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
