RUTH CAROL KLEMP, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, December 16, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.  She was born December 15, 1917 in Lincoln, Iowa, the daughter of Frank E. and Hattie M. (Theimer) Roberts. Ruth married August O. Klemp on June 7, 1947 at the Little Brown Church near Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2006. Ruth was a 1935 graduate of Dike Community School, attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) and was a 1947 graduate of Allen Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Waterloo, Iowa. She taught school at Black Hawk School #8 for one year and Fredsville School for three years. After graduating from nursing school, Ruth worked at Allen Memorial Hospital for two years and then worked for Dr. Herbert Shulman for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1978.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Voral Roberts, of Cedar Falls and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, John and William Roberts.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with inurnment at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
