Ruth B Isley

Ruth B. Isley, 74, of Waterloo, died Friday, September 23, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She was born February 25, 1937 in New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of John G. and Annie (Kappel) Mehman. Ruth married James F. "Jim" Isley on November 10, 1956 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death June 21, 1999. She graduated form Cedar Falls High School in 1954.  Ruth was legal secretary and before her retirement, she was  a teacher assistant/secretary for Edison and Central schools in Waterloo.

Ruth is survived by her son, Jody Jay Isley, of Lockridge, Iowa, her daughter, Julie Ann Isley, of Waterloo, and one sister, Joan (Jack) Miller, of Aplington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Gertrude Rogers and Darlene Block, and one brother in infancy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial at Garden of Memories in Waterloo.
