Ruth Brown

Ruth E. Brown, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at her home. She was born August 4, 1924, in Dike, Iowa, the daughter of Howard & Bess (Larkin) Wright. Ruth married Stanley Brown July 25, 1947 in Cedar Falls. She was employed at K-Mart and retired after 19 1/2 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Stanley Brown of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Helen Olejniczak of Charles City and Alice (Irvin) Baldwin, of Cedar Falls. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clare, Gail, Joe and Robert in infancy; and one sister, Jean Green. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
