Ruth A. Bellmer

Ruth A. Bellmer, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.  She was born November 2, 1945 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Dorothy (Hansen) Jepsen.  Ruth married Douglas I. Bellmer on September 2, 1967 in Greene, Iowa.  She was a graduate of Greene High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa.  Ruth worked at Control-O-Fax for several years and was a tax consultant with H & R Block for over 20 years, retiring in 2012.  She was a member of the Cedar Falls Women's Golf League.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Douglas Bellmer, of Cedar Falls; her son, Craig Bellmer, of St. Louis, Missouri and her daughter, Carrie (Kevin) Sargent, of Dexter, Iowa; three brothers, Paul (Glenda) Jepsen of Greene, Charles (Betty) Jepsen of Waukon, Iowa, Larry Jepsen of Waterloo, Iowa, and a sister, Helen Judas, of Williamsburg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Edna and Ivan Bellmer, and her brother-in-law, Gene Judas.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
