RUSSELL FULLBRIGHT,
73, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born September 8, 1930 at Charles City, Iowa the son of Emmitt & Evelyn (Brooks) Fullbright. He married Evelyn Yeaton November 29, 1953 in Cedar Falls. Russell served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in 1956 with a B.A. in Industrial Arts. He was employed at Clay Equipment for 29 years retiring as Chief Engineer. He then owned and operated Russ Ltd for 10 years. Russ was a member of the Cedar Falls Rotary Club for 35 years where he had served as secretary and was also a member of the United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Cedar Falls; three sons, Scott Fullbright of Waterloo, Mark W. (Monica) Fullbright of Edina, Minnesota, and J. William (Polly) Fullbright of Clive, Iowa; one daughter, Carmen Fullbright of West Des Moines, Iowa, his first grandchild due in October; and three sisters, Pat Williams and Lois (Marv) Diemer of Cedar Falls, and Karen McCombs of Marshalltown. Russ was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Fullbright and one sister, Betty Pashby.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 at United Church of Christ with burial in Greenwood Cemetery with flag folding rites conducted by Cedar Falls AMVET Post #49. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
