Rose L Ehmen

ROSE L. EHMEN died Friday, June 16, 2006, at her home in Cedar Falls. She was born December 22, 1914 near Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Alice (Bean) Ackerman. She married Henry F. Ehmen, April 6, 1935 at Elk Point, South Dakota. They farmed at Linn Grove, Iowa and moved to Cedar Falls in 1960. He preceded her in death August 26, 2000. She is survived by one son, James E. Ehmen of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Loretta (Floyd) Hundley of Janesville, Iowa and Barbara (James) Ritchie of Cedar Falls; one grandson, Douglas (Alisa) Hundley of Lake City, Minnesota and two great grandchildren, Devin and Samantha both of Lake City, Minnesota. Rose was preceded in death by parents, husband, three brothers, George, David, and John Ackerman; six sisters, Maggie Voorde, Mable Ackerman, Maude Ehmen, Alice Zoffka, Ellen Fredrick and Lola Parrish. Funeral services will be held 10;30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Visitation will be one hour before service time on Tuesday, June 20th. Memorial may be directed to Visiting nursing Association and Cedar Bend Humane Society.
