Rose L Ehmen

ROSE L. EHMEN, 91, of Cedar Falls, died at home on Friday, June 16, 2006.  She was born December 22, 1914, near Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Alice (Bean) Ackerman.  Rose married Henry F. Ehmen on April 6, 1935, at Elk Point, South Dakota. They farmed at Linn Grove, Iowa and moved to Cedar Falls in 1960. Henry preceded Rose in death on August 26, 2000. She is survived by one son, James E. Ehmen, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Loretta (Floyd) Hundley of Janesville, Iowa and Barbara (James) Ritchie of Cedar Falls; one grandson, Douglas (Alisa) Hundley, of Lake City, Minnesota and two great grandchildren, Devin and Samantha Hundley, both of Lake City, Minnesota. Rose was preceded in death by parents and husband; three brothers, George, David, and John Ackerman; and six sisters, Maggie Voorde, Mable Ackerman, Maude Ehmen, Alice Zoffka, Ellen Fredrick and Lola Parrish. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be one hour before service time at the funeral home. Memorial may be directed to Visiting Nursing Association and Cedar Bend Humane Society.
