Roscoe L. Pierce

Roscoe L. Pierce, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born August 2, 1929 in Newton, Iowa, the son of Roscoe J. and Anna F. (Carey) Pierce. Roscoe married Jacqueline Kauffmann in Fontainebleau, France. He was a graduate of Northern University High School in Cedar Falls and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Roscoe was a firefighter with the Cedar Falls Fire Dept. for 30 years, retiring on August 1, 1984 as Asst. Chief. He was a member of Cedar Valley Community Church and the Black Hawk R.C. Club.

Roscoe is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Pierce, of Cedar Falls; his son, Eric (Diane) Pierce, of Celina, Texas; his daughter, Deb Zorno, of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Fosse.
