Rosalyn Trueg

Rosalyn Trueg, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born March 20, 1919 in Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Eiklenborg) Andreessen. Rosalyn married Henry Trueg on October 1, 1938 in Waverly, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2002. Rosalyn was a homemaker for many years.

She is survived by her two sons, Roger (Barbara) Trueg of Dike, Iowa and Russell (Jeanne) Trueg of Cedar Falls; her daughter, Carolyn (Joe) Hess, of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two brothers, Roy and Edward Andreessen, and a sister, Helen Johnson.

Services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—7:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the Gospel Hall. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall or Cedar Valley Hospice.
