Rosalyn S. Juhl

Rosalyn S. Juhl, 100, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.  She was born March 27, 1918 in Stout, Iowa, the daughter of Senius and Ellen (Lindberg) Simonsen.  Rosalyn married Leonard Edward Juhl on April 25, 1937 in Cedar Falls.  He preceded her in death on March 6, 1984.  Rosalyn was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and was a wife and mother, later working in the Western Home kitchen for 10 years, retiring in 1978.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Sharon) Juhl, of Cedar Falls; her daughter, MerriLeigh (John) Richards, of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her brother, Irwin "Si" Simonsen, and her sister, Verna Miller.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 5—7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
