Rosa Lee Aschbrenner

Rosa Lee Aschbrenner, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Rosa was born on September 4, 1936, in Milford, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Nellie (Kelly) Williamson. She married George Aschbrenner in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on June 19, 1961. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2004. She worked at Berg Drugs from 1955 to 1961 and worked at Cedar Falls Dairy Queen, retiring in 2003. She loved her family, her diet coke with a straw, and enjoyed her dog, Snuggles.

She is survived by one son, Rory G. (Pamela) Aschbrenner, Fraser, Iowa; one daughter, Vicki (Rick) Nissen, Evansdale; three grandchildren, T.J. Nissen, Shane (melissa) Aschbrenner, and Kayla (Jordan) Quint; three step-grandchildren, Sean, Brianna and Morgan Rose Connelly; and one great-grandchild, Noah Aschbrenner and number two on the way; four brothers, Jerry (Jo) Williamson, Jim (Joyce) Williamson, Bill (Debbie) Williamson, and Rick (Julie) Williamson, all of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Betty Eastman, of Waterloo, and Rita Nielsen, of Cedar Falls.

She is preceded in death by husband; parents; two brothers, Earl and Harold Williamson; two sisters, Donna Williamson and Eula Johnson; and one granddaughter, Sarah Hope Nissen.

Services will be private. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
