Ronald Linn Alexander

Ronald Linn Alexander, 58, of Cedar Falls, passed unexpectedly from natural causes in his beloved man cave on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  He was born September 30, 1963, son of Gary and Judy (Rand) Alexander.  Ron graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1983 and married the love of his life, Heidi Geving on November 2, 1985.  He worked for Delta Airlines in Texas from 1984-1995, then Pepsi and, finally, Fed Ex Freight as a driver until his health no longer allowed.

Ron collected vintage signs, football helmets and hats.  He enjoyed all types of music and even worked as a DJ to share that passion with others at the best times of their lives.  Ron and Heidi thought the biggest blessings in their lives were their three beautiful children until they learned what a bonus blessing grandchildren could be! Their home was often a gathering place for all the people they loved most.  Sturgis Falls Days was an annual event that included food, fun and friendship and, Ron, will be keenly missed this year.  His family intentionally planned his services as close to Sturgis as possible to honor the many memories created around that event.  Though he wasn't an outwardly spiritual man, he had a deep faith in God that was a big part of his relationship with Heidi.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and twin sisters, Bonnie Lynn and Connie Sue.  He is survived by his beloved Heidi; his precious children: Jordan Lynae Sunderman of Cedar Falls, Taylor Jacob (Jennifer Holstead) Alexander of Waverly and Kaleb Matthew (Janelle) Alexander of Clear Lake; 11 grandchildren: Alivia, Aidan, Kamden, Keira, Chance, Harrison, Lydiah, Wyatt, Cecilia, Cora and baby Iris due to be born at any time; his brother, Jason Alexander of Cedar Falls; his sister, Jeri (David) Trenter of Frederic, WI; and countless friends and extended family members.

Ron's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, where he and Heidi were married nearly 37 years ago.  The plan is for an outdoor funeral so please bring a lawn chair or blanket to comfortably help his family celebrate a life well lived.  Visitation will also be at St. John's on Thursday, June 23 from 4-6:00 pm.  Ron will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery following the service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Community Credit Union in care of Heidi Alexander or to the American Heart and Lung Association.  Condolences can be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
