ROBERT C. SHORT, 79, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born August 1, 1924 at Correctionville, Iowa the son of Ansel & Susie (Durham) Short. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Robert and Darline Fisher were united in marriage on November 9, 1948 at Correctionville, Iowa. He was employed at Viking Pump for 37 years retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Darline, of Cedar Falls; his son, Cary (Chris) Short of Redfield, Iowa; three daughters, Kathy (Jim) Sealman of Reinbeck, Iowa, Kelley (Stephen) Busch of Denver, Iowa, and Kayann (Pete) Lilja of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one sister, Alice (Darwin) Shever of Correctionville. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Short; and two sisters, Betty Lou Gehrts and Wanda Short.
Services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27 2004 at First United Methodist Church with inurnment at a later date at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Dialysis Center.Guestbook
