Rodney Michael Berry

Rodney Michael Berry, age 61, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home in Cedar Falls.

Rodney was born on January 15, 1964 to Michael Berry and Nancy (Ferguson) Panther in Vinton, IA

Rodney attended Cedar Falls High School. After he left high school, he married Karla (Gustafson) Berry on 8/4/1984 where they had 4 amazing children: Zachary, Sean, Andrew and Allison. After they divorced, he spent 20 years with Jodi Wernimont where they had an amazing daughter Emma.

Rodney enjoyed his job of Door Dash for the past 6 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Chiefs football, watching Royals baseball, the Iowa Hawkeyes and UNI football, and Nascar. He also enjoyed playing pool over the years, cooking and having BBQ parties with his family and friends and fishing with his daughter Allison. Rodney's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Rodney is survived by his 5 children: Zachary Berry of Waterloo, Sean Berry of Waterloo, Andrew Berry of Cedar Falls (Laura), Allison Berry of Des Moines (Louis), and Emma Wernimont-Berry of Cedar Falls (Jalen). His mother Nancy Panther of Cedar Falls; siblings Kelly Kisling of Parkersburg (Allen), Ona Wygle of Waverly, Josh Berry of Cedar Falls (JoAnn), and Brita Marzen of Norwalk (Derrick); his grandchildren Kylar Berry, Keegan Berry, Azallea Berry and Brynlee Miner. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many extended family members.

Rodney is preceded in death by his father Michael Berry, step father Joseph Panther, a brother Mitchell Berry and a niece Madison Forbes.

The memorial visitation for Rodney will be from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
