Robert B. Woods, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at ManorCare, Waterloo. He was born October 18, 1920 in Woodward, Iowa, the son of John A. and Chjoldvor (Bruun) Woods. Bob married Marie B. Weltruski June 4, 1942, at St. Edward, Nebraska. She preceded him in death January 16, 2006. Bob served in the United States Navy during World War II, He graduated from Cambridge, Iowa High School in 1938 and moved to Cedar Falls. He worked for John Deere Tractor Works. In 1950 he moved to Nebraska to farm. In 1955 he moved back to Iowa and was owner operator of Rucco Feeds. He then worked for Jackson Auction Company and retired in 2007. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy M. (Michael) Cline of Metamora, Il. and Deborah C. (Danton) Burkett of Evansdale; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Samuel, L. D. "Bud" , and Frank Woods, and one sister, Eva "Kathy" Weltruski. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012, and one hour before services on Wednesday. Military honors will be conducted at the Cemetery by the Evansdale AMVETS Post #31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post #19. Memorials may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.
