Robert Glenn Crinklaw, Sr., 93, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at his home. He was born September 30, 1920 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Glen B . and Vesta I. (Wilson) Crinklaw. Robert married LaWanda Hubbard on January 22, 1947 in Nashua, Iowa. She preceded him in death September 26, 2013. Robert graduated from Cedar Falls High School and Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1943 to 1946. Robert taught school for several years and then worked for John Deere, retiring in 1985. Survivors include three sons, Robert B. (Imelda) Crinklaw of Moline, Illinois, James F. Crinklaw of Hopkins, Minnesota and John L. Crinklaw of Waterloo; a daughter, Lynda Jane (Jack) Rupp, of Elbow Lake, Minnesota; three grandchildren, James D. (Kim) Crinklaw, Elizabeth L. (Matt) Perkins and Robert W. (Melanie Flockhart) Crinklaw; five great grandchildren, Megan Crinklaw, T. J. Crinklaw, Emilie Perkins, Natalie Perkins and Gavin Crinklaw. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, Daniel Crinklaw, and a great grandson, Gabriel Perkins, and one brother Donald B. Crinklaw. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
