ROBERT E.
PEDERSEN, 82, of rural Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Robert was born March 15, 1922 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Peder and Christina (Jacobsen) Pedersen. He married Marie L. Andorf on September 22, 1944 at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hudson, Iowa. Robert served with the U. S. Army during WW II and worked as a mechanic for International Harvester and farmed in rural Hudson for 53 years. He was a member of the Hudson AMVETS Post 82. Robert enjoyed his family, his farm and spending time at the lake fishing.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marie, of rural Cedar Falls; three sons, Darrel and his wife Jeanette of Hudson, Dean and his wife Janet of West Union, Iowa and Russell and his wife Sandra of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Jane Lee and her husband Dana of Fairbault, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin and his wife Loretta of California and Jim and his wife Lovelle of Hudson, and a sister, Edna Dufel of Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Russell, who died in infancy.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 28, at Zion Lutheran Church, with interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, both in rural Hudson, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Dialysis Center.
