Robert Leon Muller

Robert Leon Muller, 72, of Tripoli, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo.  He was born March 1, 1946 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Fred and Lorraine (Claussen) Muller.  Robert married Linda Sisson on March 26, 1966 in Cedar Falls.  They later divorced.  He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1964 and served as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Robert was a semi driver for 35 years, retiring in 2009.  He was a member of the American Legion.

Robert is survived by his two daughters, Jennie (Tim) Andersen of Waterloo and Victoria (Richard) Walsh of Tripoli; six grandchildren, Russell Hamilton, Amber Weber & Lillian Andersen, and Matthew, Cathrine & Lance Walsh; two great grandchildren, Hunter & Tyler Walsh; his brother, James (Mary) Muller, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and his two sisters, Carol Mitchell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Brenda (Dave) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Larry Mitchell.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.  Visitation will be 4—6:00 p.m. Monday, and one hour before service Tuesday, at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
