ROBERT "BOB" LEMON, 79, of Cedar Falls died Friday, January 27, 2006, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Robert was born June 22, 1926 in Chicago Heights, Illinois the son of John & Edith (Sutton) Lemon. He married Dorothy Schnedler October 1, 1966 at Kahoka, Missouri. Robert served in the US Navy during WWII. He was an engineer with DX/Sunoco for 43 years retiring in 1989. After retirement, he worked for Alpha Express. Bob was a member of The Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks and Becker Chapman American Legion Post 138, both in Waterloo. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lemon of Cedar Falls; two sons, Scott Robert (Georgia) Lemon of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kent Paul (Eve) Lemon of Maple Grove, Minnesota; two daughters, Linda (Al) Lemon Hammar of Canton, North Carolina, Dawn Marie (Tim) Lemon of Chelsea, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Scotty, Liz, Skylar, Bobby, John, Jake and Norah; three great grandchildren, Alexandrea, Kimberly and Nathanial; one brother, Herman (Gladine) Lemon of Waterloo; one sister, Barb (Lee) Smith of Vinton, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Lemon and John Lemon, Jr. in infancy. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Trinity Episcopal Parish, 4535 Kimball Ave., Waterloo with full military rites conducted by Becker Chapman American Legion Post 138 and Veteran of Foreign Wars Waterloo Post 1623.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be given to the American Heart/Stroke Association or Trinity Episcopal Parish Memorial Fund.
