Robert K. Knight, 67, of the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls, died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born May 13, 1939 in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Arnold Ray and Irene Lucille (Hiserote) Knight. Robert married Mary Lou Brevig on June 4, 1966 at Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer, Minnesota. He graduated from New Hampton High School and worked at Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Robert later was a surveyor with the Iowa Dept. of Transportation and then was a supervisor at John Deere & Company for 28 years, retiring in 1993.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Knight, of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Suzette (Al) Cunningham of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Sandie Ubben of Iowa City, Iowa and Kimberly Knight of Cedar Falls; four granddaughters, Kassie and Kayleigh Ubben, and Claire and Molly Cunningham, and two grandsons, Tanner and Tyler Cox; six brothers, William Knight of Sun City, California, Donald (Luisa) Knight of Bogata, Columbia, Richard (Joyce) Knight of Floyd, Iowa, Roger Knight of Waterloo, Harry (Cindy) Knight of Pleasant Hills, Iowa and Dennis Knight of New Hampton, Iowa; and four sisters, Mavis (Jay) Levsen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Carole (Virgil) Severin of Charles City, Iowa, Merrilyn Craig of Hiawatha, Iowa and Susan Hastings of New Hampton.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Mary Kaye Knight.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, February 5, 2007, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 2—5:00 pm Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
