Robert L. Henriksen

Robert L. "Buck" Henriksen, 76, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Waterloo. He was born September 22, 1936 in Grundy County, Iowa, the son of Henry and Dolores (Schlamp) Henriksen. Buck attended Dike Community School and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958. He worked at Wonder Bread in Waterloo for twenty-four years, retiring on February 26, 1999. Buck had been a member of Local Teamsters Union 650. Survivors include his two sons, William "Bill" (Lisa) Henriksen and Brian Henriksen, both of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Henriksen, of Waterloo, and a sister, Dorothy (Donald) Knudsen, of Dike. Buck was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Henriksen. Services will be 10:30 am Monday, May 20, 2013, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be 35:00 pm Sunday, and one hour before service, at the funeral home.
