ROBERT V. COOPER,
was born April 29, 1922 at Waterloo, Iowa the son of Sherman and Betty (Shumway) Cooper . He married Mary Margaret Keith August 15, 1942 at San Diego, CA. She died December 2, 1989. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. Robert retired in 1983 from Waterloo Savings Bank after thirty three years of service. Robert died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home at the age of 83 years.
Robert is survived by three sons; Robert K. (Cathy) Cooper of Austin, MN., Curtis S. (Terry) Cooper of Cedar Falls, IA. And Craig L. (Susan) Cooper of Davenport, IA; two daughters, Carolyn (Joel) Mikkelsen of Kearney, NB. And Kris (Kevin) Sunken of Crete, NB.; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Gary Cooper.
Services were 10:30 am Wednesday, August 3, at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls, with interment at Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck, Iowa. Memorials can be directed to the family.
