WAGNER, RICHARD "DICK" GENE was born June 28, 1935 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Richard H. and Mildred Mae (Allen) Wagner. He married Joy Campbell June 15, 1957 in Waterloo. Dick served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He retired from the Product Engineering Center at John Deere in 1994 after 27 years of employment. He also owned and operated Cassette Reproductions since 1972. He was on the Cedar Falls Bible Conference Board and was a member of the Iowa Adventurers Motorcycle Club. Dick died Saturday, November 6, 1999 at Covenant Medical Center at the age of 64 years. Survivors include his wife, Joy, of Washburn, Iowa, two daughters, Tamara Schwartz and her husband Butch, of Forest Lake, MN, Lori Holter and her husband, Harold, of Lexington, KY, a daughter-in-law, Anna Wagner of Waterloo, seven grandchildren, one brother, Ron Wagner and one sister, Joanne Loy, both of Waterloo.  Dick was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeff, and one grandson.

His funeral was Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. at Cedar Valley Community Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo.  Military rites were conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Waterloo Post 1623.
