He is survived by his wife, Jan Lohman, of Mesa, Arizona; two sons, Joe (Chris) Lohman of Indianola, Iowa and Mark (Christine) Lohman of Waterloo, Iowa; a daughter, Adrienne Aquiar, of Columbia, California; three step-sons, Mike (Mary) Vosdingh and Dave Vosdingh, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Steve (Cheryl) Vosdingh of Granite, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Shaunna Lovett, James Wester, Willie Aguiar and Tony Aguiar; three step-grandchildren, Alex, Austin, and Jacob Vosdingh; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Lovett, Ava Lovett and Alex Wester; and two brothers-in-law, Robert (Janice) Goodyear and Robert Eilers, both of Monticello.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Armina, a daughter Leah Lohman, a brother, Roger Lohman, and a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Eilers.
Memorial services will be 1:30 pm Monday, October 2, 2006, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with inurnment at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Refreshments will be served at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, following the committal service. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49, 20th & Irving St., Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.
