RICHARD O.
FRINK, 75, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Dick was born August 4, 1928, the son of Warren and Ellen (Weiss) Frink at Waterloo, Iowa. He married Maylene D. Nelson, July 7,1951 in Pipestone, Minnesota. Dick was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. He owned and operated Rainbow Flowers for many years and retired in 1991. Dick was a member of the Elks Club, active member of the Falling Rock Walleye Club and was past president of the Iowa Society of Florists.
He is survived by his wife, Maylene of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Rich (Jacque) Frink of Janesville, Iowa and Dave (Linda) Frink of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four grandchildren, Nicole (Steve) Jackson, Tom Frink, Michael Frink and Ben Frink.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herbert and Maurice Frink and one sister, Marcia Talley.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the United Church of Christ, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the church or the Falling Rock Walleye Club.
