Rebecca Ann Kirsteatter, 78, of Waterloo, died at her home Friday, July 25, 2014, of natural causes. She was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Ottawa, Illinois, daughter of James E. and Laura E (Irish) Young. She married Harry C. Kirsteatter on June 19, 1958 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1991. Rebecca worked for Pacific Bell for many years, retiring on Sept. 15, 1987. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Jerold E. Young and Lonie W. "Duke" Young, and one sister, Nancy Greene. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, both in Cedar Falls. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Troy Grove Cemetery in Troy Grove, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
