RAY K. HARDER,
101, of Waterloo died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at his home. Ray was born July 10, 1904 on a farm near Traer, Iowa, the son of Herman & Anna (Neimeier) Harder. He married Ruby Kroeger February 18, 1926 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She preceded him in death November 29, 1982. Ray was a farmer, livestock trucker, and a horse breeder & trainer near Geneseo and later near Cedar Falls.
Survivors include three sons, Bill (Alice) Harder and Bob (Barbara) Harder, all of Cedar Falls, Wendell Harder of Waterloo; two daughters, Darlene Durns of Waterloo and Dolores (Jim) Wulf of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Ross Harder, Steven Harder, Julie Schafer and Cindy Paige; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and wife; one son-in-law, Norman Durns; two grandchildren, Sheryl Bebout and Brett Durns; one great granddaughter, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hudson with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
