Randy Lee Peterson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Peterson, 67, on Monday, March 23, 2026, a beloved brother, loyal friend and a man who lived life on his own terms.

Randy was born August 3, 1958 in Forest City, Iowa to Duane and Janice (Hill) Peterson.

Randy was known for his love of the open road as a dedicated Harley rider, finding freedom and peace wherever the ride would take him. He loved the outdoors whether it be hunting with Robyn or yard work.

Randy will be remembered for his strength and will to endure the hardships not many have experienced. Memories shared with laughter and unwavering support he gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.

Randy leaves behind friends and family who will miss him deeply and remember him always. He is survived by his father, Duane (Diana) Peterson of Selah, WA; sisters, Robyn Hanson of Williamsburg and Ronda (Rick) Hummel of Colorado; brothers, Rick (Bernie) Peterson of Evansdale, Marty (Kate) Fleetwood of Buffalo, Jason (May) Peterson of California, Justin Peterson of Washington and Jerod Peterson of Washington; and extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Janice (Alan) Fleetwood.

Randy’s funeral service will be at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to Robyn Hanson (174 Country Club Road, Williamsburg, IA 52361).
