Ralph Sassaman

RALPH SASSAMAN was born on August 21, 1916, at Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Martha (Hackbarth) Sassaman. He married Elner M. Foote on March 28, 1938, at the Church of the Nazarene in Waterloo, Iowa. Ralph worked at Viking Pump and Hinson's Manufacturing for many years. He died on Friday, July 23, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa at 82 years of age.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Elner of Cedar Falls; one son James E. Sassaman and his wife Julie of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Carol E. Schirm and her husband Dick of Waterloo, Karen J. Meyer and her husband LuRay of Wellsburg, Iowa, Helen M. Bosley and her husband Herb of Cedar Falls and Liz R. Gardner and her husband Dan of Rowley, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul G. Sassaman of Glendale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith A. Sassaman.
