Phyllis E Voss

Phyllis E. Voss, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.  She was born August 9, 1921 in Clarksville, Iowa, the daughter of Philip and Anna (Henrichs) Hoodjer.  Phyllis married William G. Voss on March 20, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia.  He preceded her in death on September 8, 1993.

Survivors include her two sons, Bob (Carol) Voss of Runnells, Iowa and Steve (Carol) Voss of Richardson, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Karen Voss, of West Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren, Dan (Kelly) Voss, Greg (Donna) Voss, Kristi Voss, Mindy Voss, Jana (Rich) Heemstra, and Stephanie Voss; four great grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Emily and Sara Voss, and a sister, Flora DeWitt, of Clarksville.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Stan Voss, and three sisters, Grace Niehaus, Ann DeWitt, and Tena Bruns.

Services will be 10:30 am Monday, December 14, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 2—5:00 Sunday, December 13, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the church.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
