Phyllis Ann McBroom, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Phyllis was born October 9, 1930 in Chariton, Iowa, the daughter of William & Mary (Fosberg) Jones. She married Carroll L. McBroom April 29, 1951 in Newton, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 29, 1990.

Survivors include one son, Allen McBroom of Webster City, Iowa; her daughter, Sandra (Michael R.) Andorf of Waterloo; two daughters-in-law, Sue McBroom of Cedar Falls and Donna McBroom Peterson of Owatonna, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sons, Gary and Richard McBroom: a daughter in law, Ellen McBroom; an infant daughter, Katherine McBroom, and five brothers, Donald, Charlie, Henry, Harold and Leonard Jones.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
