Phillip Wayne "Phil" Lynn

Phillip Wayne "Phil" Lynn, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.  He was born May 24, 1944 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, the son of William M. and June (Smith) Lynn.  Phil married Joy Kimmelshue on May 5, 1984 in Cedar Falls.  He attended the American Institute of Commerce in Cedar Falls and served in the U.S. Army.  Phil worked for 22 years in the Physical Plant Department at the University of Northern Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Lynn, of Cedar Falls; a son, Phillip "PJ" Williams, of Carter Lake, Iowa; four daughters, Pamela (Dan) Hopkins of Fremont, Nebraska, Laura Lynn of Omaha, Nebraska, Robin (Reuben) Adkins of Lincoln, Nebraska and Melissa (Chuck) Roberts of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and his sister, Fran (Harold) Yeager, of Waterloo, Iowa and Florida.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons; three brothers, William, James and John Lynn, and two sisters, Vivian Vanenberg and Viola Lynn, who died in infancy.
