Philip Colbert

Philip "Phil" Colbert, 53, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born September 8, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of George & Frances (Frost) Colbert. Phil married Dawn Billman on April 20, 1985, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He was a graduate of Troy High School in Troy, Missouri and was a 1982 graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City Pharmacy School. Phil owned and operated Phil's Pharmacy in Reinbeck for many years. He was a member of the Iowa Pharmacy Board. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Colbert, of Waterloo; two sons, Nathan (Cindy) Colbert of Waterloo and Christopher Colbert of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Manda Colbert, of Waterloo; his mother, Frances Colbert, of Troy, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth (Michelle) Colbert, of Steeleville, Missouri; two sisters, Kathleen (Mark) Dobbs of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Doretta (David) Whitcraft, of Wichita, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews. Phil was preceded in death by his father. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 3 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to World Vision or the Alzheimer's Association.
