Penny Lynn Burroughs, 61, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born October 7, 1951 in Waterloo, the daughter of Milton "Casey" and Joan (Melcher) McCraney. Penny married Lance J. Burroughs June 6, 1970 in Waterloo. Penny is survived by her husband, Lance Burroughs, of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Sherry (Dallas) Sands, of Evansdale; her mother, Joan McCraney, of Evansdale; two brothers, Donald (Dawn) McCraney of Evansdale, and Joseph (Cindy) McCraney of Waterloo; three sisters, LuAnn (Leroy) Smith, Lori Trainor, and Jamie Pucket, all of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Kevin Diane Brown. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1530 Pleasant Valley Dr. Waterloo, where visitation will be one hour before services.
