Paul G Sassaman

SASSAMAN, PAUL G.  was born March 31, 1914 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Ralph George and Martha (Hackbarth) Sassaman. He married Mary Iona Coen on February 15, 1939 in Powersville, Iowa. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1996. Paul was a machinist and elevator operator at John Deere & Company in Waterloo, Iowa for many years. He died Sunday, September 1, 2002, at Westview Manor Healthcare Center in Sun City, Arizona, at 88 years of age.

Paul is survived by his children, Marti Hazen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Judy (Larry) Bosley of Glendale, Arizona, Nancy (Larry) Mowatt of Wickenburg, Arizona and Ted Sassaman of Waterloo; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; twin daughters, Mary Mina and Catherine Florence Sassaman in infancy; three brothers, Robert, Keith and Ralph Sassaman and a sister, Eveline Sassaman in infancy.
