Paul E. Meyermann, 59, of Cedar Falls, died of pancreatic cancer, Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born December 29, 1953 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Gerald W. and Marianna (Brandt) Meyermann. Paul married Priscilla Rowland Jorgensen December 28, 1980 at Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1972 at Council Bluffs, Iowa and from Iowa State with a BS degree as a Landscape Architect in 1977. In 1985, he began working for UNI as the Campus Landscape architect. Paul was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, a Boy Scout of America volunteer and past chairman of the Cedar Falls planning and zoning commission. He was a dedicated conservationist. Paul loved to work, play and mountain bike. He built a mountain bike trail in Camp Ingawanis. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Meyermann, of Cedar Falls; his son, Kurt Meyermann, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Steve Meyermann and one sister, Linda Meyermann, both of Omaha, Nebraska; one nephew, Ralph Meyermann and one great niece, Madison Meyermann. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
