Patricia A Garrison

Patricia Ann Garrison, 63, of Evansdale, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, from complications of diabetes. She was born August 7, 1946 in Waterloo, the daughter of Richard W. and Mardell M. (Head) Way.  Patricia married Robert Garrison on June 18, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska.  They later divorced.  Patricia worked for many years at both American Heritage and later Ron Weber, both in Waterloo.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.  Patricia was a caregiver to both her grandmother and mother.  As a sister, aunt, friend and family member, she showed her love and dedication.  Her dog, Oscar, and cat, Sunny, were a special joy to her.

Survivors include her son, Bobby (Linda) Garrison, of Evansdale; three grandchildren, Nick (Amanda Rigdon) Garrison of Waterloo, Derek Good of Evansdale and Samantha (Wyatt Musch) Garrison of Waterloo; two great granddaughters, Kaylee and Megan Garrison; a sister, Judy (Dennis) Ohrt, of Dunkerton; two brothers, Dick (Sharon) Way of Oswego, Illinois and Tommy (Brenda) Way of Osceola; an uncle, Don Way, of Colorado; many nieces and nephews, and her lifetime friend, Winnie Goldsberry, of Waterloo.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Way.

Memorial services will be 10:30 am Monday, December 14, 2009, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.  Family will receive friends one hour before the service.  A memorial fund will be established at a later date.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
