Patricia Ann (Hagaman) Miller, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 24, 2023.

Born on July 15, 1942 in Boone, Iowa, Patricia's life was a testament to love, faith, and the importance of family. She graduated from Boone High School. Pat married Robert C. Miller on December 9, 1960, and the couple were blessed with three children: Shane, Rick and Roxanne.

Pat was a hardworking woman, not only in her career, but also spending many hours on her home and garden. She enjoyed doing crafts, home renovations, numerous sewing projects, stained glass, and helping others any way she could. She was an excellent problem solver, and would sometimes stay up all night thinking of how to fix an issue. She retired in 2007 with many years of service at P&K Orthotics.

She was the perfect mother, providing love, comfort, and care. She had the best sense of humor and would often play tricks on her kids growing up. Her children remember no matter what, she and Bob would always make sure each of them received the one thing they wanted for Christmas, even if they didn't remember telling her about it. They felt her unconditional love and support until the end.

One of her biggest joys in life was becoming a Grandmother. She attended every sports, music and recital that she could. She had special meals and treats she would make for visits and weekend overnights, and kept those traditions even as her grandchildren became adults. She could make anything, nothing showcased this more than her years of designing and sewing Halloween costumes for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made countless gifts for all of her family, including quilts for every new baby. Many lives were touched by her generosity and thoughtfulness.

Pat was a loyal friend, and spent lots of time on the phone keeping in touch with loved ones all over the country. She enjoyed traveling and going on bus tours during her retirement. In 2011, Pat accepted Jesus into her life, and through Him, brought friends who became her sisters in Christ. When she was no longer able to attend Bible Study, her friends brought her meals, kept her company, and shared prayers and laughter. These visits were very special to her. Pat's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Pat is survived by her loving children, Robert "Shane" (Andrea) Miller of Cedar Falls, Rick (Jodie) Miller of Waterloo and Vera "Roxanne" (Chris) Dow of Waterloo; grandchildren, Jillian, Nathan, Suzanne, Samuel, Kaydence, Clayton, Sean, Charlotte, Daniela, Finch, and great niece Natalie; sisters Mary, Janis, and brother Fred; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Ann (Debner) Hagamen; husband, Robert Miller; sister, Fonda Anderson; and niece, Marcia Anderson, and many friends throughout her lifetime.

The Celebration of Life for Pat will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 29 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, August 28 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home; resuming at 9:00 AM on Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
