Norman R Miller

Norman R. Miller, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Norman was born August 12, 1930 in Aplington, Iowa, the son of Joe & Kathryn (Schoneman) Miller. He married Marlys Bradshaw February 25, 1952 in Aplington. She preceded him in death March 24, 1981. Norman was a dairy truck driver for Carnation/Swiss Valley Farms for 31 years, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff Miller of Waterloo, Greg (Kathy) Miller of Cedar Falls, Mitch (Brenda) Miller of Wichita, Kansas; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Evelyn) Miller of Osage and Floyd (Tammy) Miller of Aplington; and two sisters, Jean Smith of Buffalo, Minnesota and Connie (William) Buus of Springfield, Missouri.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents and wife, two daughters, Valerie Miller in infancy and Donna Pickar; and one son, Michael Miller who died on August 23, 2007.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with interment at Pleasant View Cemetery, Aplington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
