NORMA MAE
KNUTSON, 81, of Tequesta, Florida and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, November 8, 2004, at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida. She was born March 10, 1923 at Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Mabel (Charlson) Groves. Norma married Leroy Knutson on March 17, 1944 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. She and a partner started the Chalet Clothing Store in Cedar Falls. Norma was a member of the Chapter R of P.E.O., Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, and Beaver Hills Country Club. In Tequesta, she was a member of the Tequesta Country Club and the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy, of Tequesta, Florida; two sons, Brian (Lora) Knutson of Olympia Fields, Illinois and Mark (Terri) Knutson of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Aaron (Emily) Knutson, Kimberly (Taylor) Bear and Brent Knutson, all of Cedar Falls, and Katherine Knutson of Olympia Fields, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph Knutson and Dallas Bear.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services were 11:00 Monday, November 22, 2004 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
