Nielsine Ruby Johnson, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, May 28, 2007 at ManorCare Health Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Nielsine was born November 7, 1922 in Bennington Township, rural Independence, Iowa, the daughter of George Marius & Ruby Mae (Shannon) Jensen. She graduated in 1942 from Hubbard High School and married James Johnson May 17, 1949 in Hubbard. He preceded her in death September 22, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Maren (David) Sims of Cedar Falls, Margaret (Paul) Wehling of Cedar Falls, three granddaughters, six great grandchildren, and one sister in law, Helen Nelson of Birmingham, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one son, James Marius Johnson; one brother, George David Nelson; one half sister, Mary Carr; one foster brother, Frank Engelking; and her adopted Mother, Bertha Engelking.
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church with inurnment at a later date in Hubbard Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
