Neva Johansen

Neva L. Johansen, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes. Neva was born September 19, 1923 in Hudson, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert & Edith (Ehret) Iseminger. She married Earl Johansen May 19, 1945, in Spencer, Iowa. He preceded her in death March 28, 2003. Neva graduated from Hudson High School and received her B.A. degree in Business Education from Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). She was a teacher in Latimer for 19 years, retiring in 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Earlene (John) Morgan, of Sun Lakes, Arizona and Denise (Ron) Parks, of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Cathy (Jim) Culver, Chip Morgan, Ben Parks, Tom (Theresa) Parks, and Josh Parks; three great grandchildren, Brett Culver and Asher & Quinlan Parks; and one sister, Ruth Iseminger, of St. George, Utah. Neva was preceded in death by her parents and husband; five brothers, John, James, Edwin "Ted", Ralph and Ray (both in infancy) Iseminger; and three sisters, Marion Branson, Edna Budlong and Alice Petersen. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. There will be a private family inurnment in Coulter Cemetery in Coulter, Iowa.
