Nayleen (Welter) Delosantos

Nayleen (Welter) Delosantos, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 21, 2025, at UPH Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Nayleen was born on March 3, 1982, on the island of Pohnpei, Micronesia to Alexander Welter and Nelly Fredrick. She lived in Hawaii before moving to Waterloo to take care of her mother. Nayleen married Salperino Delosantos on March 29, 2025, in Cedar Falls. She was known for her love of baseball and attended every Rise Up game where she cheered for the team with passion and encouragement.

Nayleen is survived by her husband, Salperino Delosantos; mother, Nelly Welter; siblings, Reisihna Wehl, Eiter Welter, Marcelino Welter, and August Welter; and nieces and nephews, Mileen Wehl, Miranda Welter, Marmax Welter, Marvin Welter, Maxwell Welter, AJ Welter, Rex Welter, and Eison Bernado. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Alexander Welter; and niece, Maylanda Wehl.
