Nancy Kay Junker, 71, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born January 2, 1942 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Roy and Annie (Trueg) Andreessen. Nancy's mother died when Nancy was thirteen years old, she was raised by her maternal grandparents, Louis & Hannah Trueg. Nancy married Laverne Junker on May 23, 1969 at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. She was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo. Nancy was a florist at both HyVee and Flowerama for many years. She also worked in the Men's Dept. at Montgomery Wards in Cedar Falls. Survivors include her husband, Laverne Junker, of Cedar Falls; a son, Duane (Darlene) Junker, of Golden, Colorado; a daughter, Ann Zinda, of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Adam Zinda, Rick Stanley, Talena (Doug) Hunter, Sabrina Stanley, and two great grandchildren, Autumn Sorrentino and Mason Stanley. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Monday, March 25, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo.
