Myron V. Jepsen, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at his home in Cedar Falls. He was born December 17, 1930 in Cedar Falls, the son of Ernest E. and Esther K. (Sorensen) Jepsen. Myron married Bertie Colville on December 20, 1950 at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. He graduated from Northern University High School and attended Iowa State University. Myron was a life-long farmer in Black Hawk County. He was Vice President of the Cedar Falls School Board from 1961-1963, a member of Black Hawk County 4-H, the rural Chairman of Sartori Hospital Building Fund Drive in 1963, was on the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Board from 1956-1959, was Master Swine Producer in 1958 and was named "Outstanding Young Farmer" in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Bertie Jepsen, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Doug Jepsen of Johnston, Iowa and John Jepsen of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Mary Kae (Bruce) Hanson of Wesley, Iowa and Julie (Rod) Johnson of Clear Lake, Iowa; twelve grandchildren, Eric (Julie) Hanson, Sara Hanson, Steve (Bobbi) Hanson, Kyle (Lynnsey) Jepsen, Tara (Sergio) Holguin, Chris Jepsen, Nick Jepsen, Heather (Ryan) Rausch, Carrie (Troy) Tysdahl, Alicia (Nick) Hill, Aaron Jepsen and Annika Jepsen; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Dee) Jepsen, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and a sister, Carol (Jim) Nymann, of Georgetown, Texas. Myron was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with private inurnment at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.
