MURIEL CORRELL
ORRICK, 102, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Muriel was born April 21, 1902 at Adair, Iowa, the daughter of B.A. & Bessie (Maas) Correll. She graduated from Adair Public Schools in 1919 and attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI), Northwestern College and the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Muriel was a teacher at Adair, Waterloo and for 10 years at Orange Consolidated Schools. She married Harry Clark Orrick June 23, 1928 in Adair. He preceded her in death December 25, 1962. Muriel was past President of PEO Chapter FV, the Cedar Falls Woman's Club and Goodwill Auxiliary of NE Iowa. She was a charter board member of the Cedar Falls Historical Society and a member of the Tuesday Study Club, Black Hawk Council of Republican Women, The Elklets and a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.
Survivors include one nephew, Charles (Marjean) Pountain of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
There will be no visitation or services. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa, at a later date.
